Joseph now provides them the opportunity once again to abandon a favored son, thus testing their loyalty.

God may test our willingness to put others first if in the past we failed to demonstrate this. Given a second chance, a repentant heart will choose the right path.

As jealousy had once enraged Joseph’s brothers against him, he now tests their character again by favoring Benjamin above them.

We shouldn’t let jealousy mar our rejoicing in God’s undeserved grace to us.

Holy Land from Above

A few years ago, I flew in a helicopter over Israel to film a number of sights. I felt like I was flying over a map–seeing for the first time in my life the Holy Land from above.

A friend of mine recently blogged about a new video project that took aerials of the Holy Land. I’ve copied their trailer below for you to watch. The quality is marvelous and offers you a taste of what it’s like to fly over a map.

Maybe this is how God sees Israel?
