Starting Over with God

Sometimes we feel like we’ve blown it so bad that God should toss us aside and start over with somebody else. Whenever I feel that way, I travel in my mind to the shoreline of the Sea of Galilee. To a place I’ve been many times.

A Spiritual Juneteenth Offers You Freedom

Freedom from anything begins by knowing you are free. Juneteenth—a short version of “June 19th”—remains a state holiday in Texas. It remembers the day good news arrived.

A Land Without Absolute Truth

I read an article that surveyed what adults rank as the most important thing they learned from their father. A few mentioned skills, like how to change a tire, or drive a car, or play sports. Saving money ranked even higher.

It may sound odd to travel to the land of the Bible and then go indoors to see a museum. But some museums you can only see in Israel.

I seldom get sick. For some reason, I usually sidestep most maladies, bugs, and viruses.
