Tel Arad—Where to Stand and What to Read

For centuries, Tel Arad enjoyed a strategic location. As such, there a number of great places to stand, depending on what you’d like to read from the Bible.

Here’s where I like to stand and what I like to read while standing there.

Where to Stand: Although the lower city also affords a great view, I prefer finding a spot at the summit in order to overlook the tremendous view of the Negev.

What to Read: Read Numbers 21:1-5 about Israel’s battle at Arad, their subsequent detour into Canaan, and their response to it.
