Saved—but for what?
The annual Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread celebrated Israel’s deliverance from bondage and focused on removing corruption from their lives.
In the same way, believers today are to “keep the festival” (1 Cor. 5:8) because “Christ our Passover lamb has been sacrificed.” God wants His people to remember and celebrate their deliverance, and then to remove all corrupting influences from their lives.
